3• The traditional diyas used during Diwali on India . These diyas are filled with oil and cotton wick is used to bear the flame and the diyas are left out burning all night on Diwali .

4• Well this is mostly unknown and most unrecognised fact on Diwali that the English city of Leicester hosts the biggest Diwali celebrations outside of India.

5• Diwali is celebrated on the fifteenth day of the Hindu month of Kartika. 

6• Well in India Diwali is considered as a major shopping festival . In India people's thought that buying new things on the occasion of Diwali is good .

7• The most strange fact is that on the same night that Diwali is celebrated , Jains Festival a festival of lights to mark the attainment of moksha is also celebrated .

8• Well not just Hindu , Sikhs also celebrate the festival of Diwali , as it marks the release of their Guru Hargobind Singh and 52 other kings from the emperor Shah Jahan .

9• Well this is a fact on Diwali that total cost of firecrackers exploded is estimated about 1 billon dollars every year by the people of India . And this causes heavy air pollution which leads to many more respiratory problems .

10• The festival of Diwali is also celebrated in honor of the marriage of the Lord Vishnu and Goddess Laxmi .
